Wow, okay, let’s dive right in. So, Aspyr dropped some news. Neverwinter Nights 2 — remember that one? — is finally hitting Nintendo Switch. Yup, next month. Mind blown. I caught myself thinking, who even imagined playing this on a console back in the day?
Anyway, they’ve spruced it up with gameplay tweaks and, get this, better textures. Full controller vibes too. And those expansions: Mask of the Betrayer, Storm of Zehir, Mysteries of Westgate. Icons, all of them.
Oh, and it’ll let four of us nerd out together. Crossplay magic. Kinda nostalgic, right? The devs swear it’s all about keeping the OG feels alive. But, also, new stuff. Bit of a balancing act, if you ask me.
So, key bits? Here goes:
Complete Story Package, expansions and all. Like, in Mask of the Betrayer, you play a Shard-Bearer — whatever that is — with this creepy hunger thing. Then there’s Storm of Zehir, shipwrecked crew, jungles, some big plot. The third one, Mysteries of Westgate, is dangerous. Trust me.
Steam Workshop’s in the mix too, so there’s community bits to explore. New stories, basically.
Finally, Neverwinter Nights 2 on consoles! Kind of surreal. Full controller support, of course, but still can do mouse and keyboard if you’re old school like me.
So mark your calendars, July 15, 2025, Nintendo eShop. Cheers to reliving memories or — maybe seeing them in a whole new light? Anyway, until then, keep rolling those dice, or whatever.
