Alright, so here’s the deal. Borderlands 4 is coming out soon, and everyone’s buzzing. Gearbox Software finally spilled the beans on something everyone kept bugging them about. Good news and bad news. The good news? They’re adding this fancy Photo Mode thing. The bad news? You gotta wait. Yep, not at launch.
So, what’s this Photo Mode? Think about capturing epic screenshots of the madness in the game. You get to mess with colors, play with depth — basically make your own mini movie. Loads of games have it now. I mean, who doesn’t wanna show off a slick shot to their buddies, right? Anyway — oh, wait, yeah, it’s missing at launch, which is kinda… ugh.
Graeme Timmins, who’s like the creative brain behind it all, threw it out there on social media — I mean, what else? Everything’s on there now. He’s like, “Hey everyone, Photo Mode will be in an update post-launch!” And I’m like, cool, but also… really? Why the wait?
Okay, so Timmins said they had other fish to fry first. The team focused on stuff that, well, directly makes the game run smoother, faster, better. We’ve all seen it before — game launches rough, fans lose their minds, patches rain down. “Moment-to-moment experience,” he called it. Sounds fancy. Still, delays are annoying.
Quick rewind — Borderlands 3 didn’t even have Photo Mode at the start — well, on consoles. Some spin-off later fixed that. Tiny Tina’s thingy had it lined up for all platforms from the get-go! Made things hopeful for BL4, ya know?
It’s kinda wild though. Borderlands 4, running on Unreal Engine 5, totally a graphics beast! By the way, you might need a PC that doesn’t choke on those specs. Just saying.
Timmins’ logic sorta makes sense. Polish first, glamour later. But I’m crossing my fingers we don’t have to wait too long after launch for this cool feature.
So, here’s the scoop — Borderlands 4 is dropping on September 12, 2025. Xbox, PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch 2, all that jazz. And hey, start saving if you want the Deluxe stuff. But bottom line: It’s big, it’s bold, and with any luck, it’ll be one of the top games of 2025. Can’t wait!
