Hey there! So, there’s this game called “Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist” (cool name, right?) that’s doing a Kickstarter thing next week. It’s sort of like resurrecting the vibes from Orbus VR, which recently went poof. Why do all the good ones get the axe?
Anyway, starting June 24th, folks behind this new VR MMORPG are trying to get it off the ground for Quest 3 and SteamVR by late next year. Imagine former Orbus fans rolling up their sleeves, founding Resolute Games earlier last year—must’ve been quite the ride.
They’re saying stuff like “Embark on a mystical journey…”—kinda grand, huh? Battle bad guys, mingle in taverns over mini-games, and traipse through history. Sounds like hanging out with your eccentric history professor who talks about dragons on the weekends.
Classes like Warrior, Mage, the usual suspects, and then there’s Monk and Alchemist. Plus, they tossed in raids, dungeons, and world bosses, because what’s a fantasy world without some epic brawls, right? And PvP zones—three of ’em. Also, lots of crafting and gathering. Some activities might not launch right away. Figures.
Resolute hasn’t spilled the beans on funding tiers yet, but the CEO, Lynn M. Souza, mentioned aiming for a “similar goal to Zenith” with a $25,000 mark. The genre’s been slippery—Orbus VR said goodbye earlier this year. Meanwhile, Ilysia VR seems to be holding its ground, maybe they’ve got some secret sauce.
Lynn reminisced about Orbus’ glory days—the whole Quest 1 era. She’s a backer of these projects too, which makes me feel she’s not just in it for the buck.
If everything’s on track, they’re eyeing a December 2026 release across PC VR, Meta Quest 3, and others. Maybe an alpha by end-2025 and a beta by summer 2026? But y’know, things change.
So yeah, June 24th is your date if you’re into throwing some support behind this. Wishlisting on Steam is a thing now too, if you’re into that. Who knew being a gamer needed a calendar, right?
