Sure thing. Here it goes:
So, here’s the weird thing… Xbox Game Pass Ultimate just threw another game into the mix. It’s called Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Yeah, it’s the 16th new one this July 2025. Crazy, right? I mean, they’ve already crammed 94 games into the service this year. Madness!
Now, Wuchang. What a name. Apparently, it’s this RPG set in like, 17th-century China, right when the Ming dynasty was gasping its last breaths. This character Wuchang—who’s got no memory, by the way—is fighting against something called the Feathering Disease. Sounds ominous, doesn’t it? Oh, and it was all whispered about back in September 2021, and then confirmed in some Xbox spectacle in June 2024. Finally dropped end of April 2025. Phew!
And here’s a twist: it officially landed on Xbox Game Pass on July 24, except folks on the U.S. East Coast could dive in a bit early on the 23rd at 10pm. Sneaky! Anyway, you can grab it on Xbox Series X/S or PC. Xbox One folks, well, they’ve gotta stream it through Xbox Cloud Gaming. Yep, that’s life.
Now for a quick rundown of new stuff in the Game Pass lineup. I swear they’re dropping stuff faster than I can keep up:
- Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Available on Ultimate and PC. Cloud or Series X/S—pick your poison. Launched July 24. Fresh as they come.
- Grounded 2: Another day-one splash on July 29.
- Farming Simulator 25: Get your digital crops ready for August 1.
- Gears of War: Reloaded and Keeper: Set for this August and October. (Microsoft’s busy, aren’t they?)
Back to Wuchang—people kinda like it. OpenCritic’s giving it a "Strong" vibe, scoring about 75. Not groundbreaking, but hey, 70% of critics liked it. The combat is fast and the weapons? Smooth switches, says the buzz. It has this Madness thing… might sound like gamer jargon, but it basically messes with how damage and death work. Like, you die with max madness, boom, evil twin shows up. Trippy.
But, not all sunshine and roses. Some folks think it’s too "been there, done that." Wuchang’s tricky with its difficulty, too. Some battles are a breeze, others a brick wall. Everyone’s mileage may vary.
Oh, and a heads up: Wuchang’s not on the standard Xbox Game Pass yet. If we’re looking at past patterns, might see it around early to mid-2026. Until then, keep an eye out for Grounded 2 coming on the 29th. Should be a blast.
