Oh man, where to even start with this one? So, there’s this thing happening next month, a VR Games Showcase. They’re saying it’s gonna be a blast with all these game reveals. Pretty wild how much these XR games (sounds like something from a sci-fi novel, right?) are changing the scene.
Kicking off on August 12th. Early birds, take note – it starts at 8:40 AM PT. But why so early? Don’t people sleep in anymore? Anyways, there’s a pre-show thing called ‘XR Indies & Friends.’ Sounds friendly enough, right? Then the big show starts at 9:00 AM PT. Not like I’d know exactly what ‘PT’ means without Googling. Probably Pacific Time, I guess?
So, they’re saying we’ll see some major reveals and updates. That’s what they always say, though. Still, if you’re into VR headsets like Quest or PSVR 2, this might be your thing. The key buzz is around titles like Forefront, which — funnily enough — I’m yet to hear about until now. Triangle Factory’s behind that one, apparently. Ever heard of them? Me neither, but now I’m kinda curious.
Oh, and there’s also something called Reach by nDreams Elevation. Already sounds like reaching for the stars, huh? They’re teasing us with an all-new trailer. Then there’s Flat2VR Studios with goodness knows what. Something exciting, so they say.
But wait, backtracking here – Polyarc’s doing a VR Developer Direct video from their place in Seattle for Glassbreakers: Champions of Moss. Man, does that title roll off the tongue or what? It’s a real-time action strategy game from the Moss franchise, whatever that means.
And the pre-show? Yep, it’s a 20-minute sneak peek thing. They’re promising some cool indie projects. Now, will they actually deliver? We’ll see. Come August 12th, we’ll know more. Meanwhile, noted to myself: gotta remember to livestream this stuff on YouTube and TikTok Live. Not that I actually spend time on TikTok. Or do I? Anyway, let’s see what they bring to the table. Can’t help but feel a bit hyped. Or maybe skeptical. It’s a toss-up.
