HoYoverse just threw out something new in Genshin Impact’s 5.8 livestream—yeah, another elemental reaction, but this one makes Electro-Charged finally feel worth your while. Been waiting for this one, especially if you’re into characters like Ororon who’ve got talents tied up with Electro-Charged. Good times.
So they’re calling it Lunar-Charged, which kind of sounds magical, right? We’ve got this new 5-star Electro figure, Ineffa, at the heart of it. Now, when you’ve got that Hydro and Electro thing happening—hello, Electro-Charged—Ineffa steps in with her first passive talent and boom, you’ve got Lunar-Charged. What’s it do? It sets off this Electro damage cloud aimed at any foe drenched in either Electro or Hydro. And watch out, those strikes might hit critically. What’s wild is that Ineffa’s power can up the damage depending on how strong she is. Yeah, it’s all about her attack stat.
Ineffa is breaking new ground as the first character from Nod-Krai—a mysterious place, right? After 5.8, travelers will finally stroll through it. Now, whether Lunar Charged stays a major thing in Nod-Krai is anyone’s guess. But considering how HoYoverse loves to mingle new features with fresh regions, I’d say it’s likely.
I saw this image—props to HoYoverse—of Ineffa doing her thing and whoa, the visual vibes are something else. Makes you wanna dive into the new update, right? By the way, launching new features like Lunar Charged couldn’t come sooner. We’ve seen reactions like Burning get a makeover. Crystallize—eh, crystallize needs Navia or forget it. Electro-Charged always seemed underwhelming and hardly got any team love, unless you finagled it with another elemental partner to pack a punch.
Ineffa’s stepping on the scene solo in this update, and her banner is set to drop when version 5.8 hits on July 30, 2025. Mark that date, Genshin fans.
Oh, and if you haven’t checked our Genshin Impact codes page lately, you should. Got fresh updates on our builds guide for both Ifa and Escoffier, and it’s some good stuff. Might save you some frustration down the character upgrade line, just saying.
