Well, here we go. EA Sports FC 26 is whipping out 5 new things called PlayStyles. I caught this on some YouTube video they put up—must admit, I should’ve been working, but who sticks to that, right?
Some of these PlayStyles are mash-ups of old ones. One’s even got fresh mechanics, whatever that means. Anyway, here’s the rundown:
-
Aerial Fortress: Imagine a player who’s all about dominating those aerial fights, but only when defending. It’s like they took the old Aerial PlayStyle and gave it a helmet and shield. So, yeah, players jump higher and sorta loom over others. Throw in PlayStyle+, and they’re basically doing physics-defying leaps.
-
Precision Header: So, instead of the "thwack it and hope" approach, now you’ve got headers with accuracy, for those who like finesse over force. It’s the Power Header’s cousin who went to art school, you know? Regular and PlayStyle+ add oomph while staying precise.
-
Inventive: Think of it like a Frankenstein monster of passes. Mixes elements from Flair and Trivela, so players can sling fancy passes like it’s no big deal.
-
GameChanger: This one blends the shooting spice of Flair with a dash of Trivela magic. Fancy shots with extra pizzazz, they say. Sounds like a recipe from my aunt who throws in every spice from the cabinet.
- Enforcer: For those beefy target men upfront. Helps them shield the ball like it’s their firstborn. Regular or PlayStyle+, they do some wicked shoulder challenges too.
Side note—Flair, Trivela, Aerial, and Power Header? Yeah, they just got replaced. Outta here like last week’s leftovers.
They’re also overhauling dribbling, movement, shooting—the whole shebang. Oh, and goalkeepers are getting some tweaks too. FC 26 drops on September 26th on basically every console you can think of. Mark the date if that’s your thing. Or don’t—totally up to you.
