Warframe dropped its latest, uh, thingy—what’s it called? Oh yeah, Isleweaver. For all you console and PC people out there, this thing’s part of Update 39. Anyway, they tossed us back into Duviri with some fresh story stuff, a limited-time operation, and who knows what else. Feels like they’re celebrating or something.
Oh man, twelve years! Can you believe Digital Extremes has been doing this for 12 years? And they’re still cranking out expansions—like 20 of ’em. March rolled in with Techrot Encore, whatever that was. Seemed big at the time. Isleweaver’s the follow-up, officially out June 25. Floating islands, Duviri-style. Not sure why I love floating islands—maybe they remind me of summer vacations?
The centerpiece here: Operation: Eight Claw. Sounds fancy, right? Just means you gotta fend off Major Neci Rusalka and her rabble—Murmur, I think they’re called. Hope I got that right. Oh! There’s a boss fight with Oraxia, the spider rogue. Sounds intense.
Did you know they’ve got 61 of these Warframe characters now? I can’t even remember half of them. Oraxia, number 61, is all about hunting and poison. What is that? Evolution of a perfect something or other? Anyway, she comes with her own weapons: a whip, a scythe—sounds dangerous. Oh, and there’s a new enemy type, The Unseeing Herald. Drops this Temporal Dust—it’s probably important.
Digital Extremes is polishing things up for newcomers too. Making what they call “Junction” missions easier. You know, rewards for steps before boss fights. Transparency everywhere! Not sure if it matters, but there it is.
There’s more! Bad news for Valkyr fans, her abilities getting a makeover. Not quite sure how that’ll play out. And don’t even get me started on TennoGen and Augment Mods—those are being shuffled around too. Eight Claw wraps up July 16, but you can snag rewards until the 23rd. What’s next for Duviri? Guess we’ll find out later.
Few highlights then: new Duviri Node, Scholar’s Landing—is that like some kind of library in the sky? Anyway, new event, Operation: Eight Claw, runs through mid-July. And remember Oraxia? The spider Warframe? She’s here with her poison and stealth.
Let’s talk Incarnon weapons. The Thalys scythe or whatever, sounds customizable with weird mechanics. And Valkyr? She’s seeing a makeover, all about rage and melee this time. Augments get tossed in for a few Warframes too, if you’re still reading.
Oh yeah, they revamped the new player experience, reworking combos, Vor’s intro scene—you know the drill. Slam attacks scale with fall height now. Who knew?
There. I think that’s the lot. Cosmetics everywhere, new skins, bundles, cosmetics vibes—Citrine Aphrodita Collection anyone?
Whew. My head’s spinning. No clue how they cram so much into one game.
