Last week didn’t offer many surprises, but we did get a blast from the past with the release of Namco’s classic game, The Quest of Ki, in the Vs series archives. Beyond that, everything else seemed to be covered in RFN 900.
There’s a peculiar pattern in the gaming world where the Horizon series seems to always coincide with the launch of a massive title. The original Horizon debuted just before the legendary Breath of the Wild, and the sequel faced off with the mighty Elden Ring. Fast forward, and the remaster of Horizon clashed head-to-head with Dragon Age. This week, Lego Horizon Adventures enters the ring but is notably upstaged by two heavy hitters: the eagerly awaited Dragon Quest III HD-2D and the all-new Tetris Forever. The lineup this week is diverse. If you tuned in to the Wholesome Direct (on a slower speed), Petit Island might sound recognizable. Also on the horizon is a compelling package featuring a trio of Irem shooters and something quite unconventional—the EggConsole has unveiled another iteration of the original Ys.
