Patch Notes for Final Fantasy 14 Update 7.11 Released

Final Fantasy 14 players were in for a treat on November 26 with the launch of Patch 7.11, which included the eagerly awaited Futures Rewritten (Ultimate) raid. This marks the unveiling of the game’s sixth Ultimate raid, accompanied by a series of tweaks to PVP Jobs and a fresh batch of rewards for the dedicated achievement hunters out there.

The new raid, Futures Rewritten (Ultimate), offers an exciting twist on the Eden raid series from the Shadowbringers expansion. Across 12 intense raid battles, including showdowns against different incarnations of Final Fantasy 14’s Primals like Titan and Shiva, players are tasked with facing Gaia herself in the Savage version’s climactic fight, where she dons the title of the Oracle of Darkness.

In addition to raiding adventures, the patch includes key PVP adjustments. Specifically, jobs such as the Astrologian, Paladin, and Red Mage experienced nerfs, while Samurai, Machinist, and Viper received enhancements. On the 17th of December, Patch 7.15 will be launched, bringing further refinements to these Jobs. A pathway has been set for players of all backgrounds to secure new rewards, obtainable by interacting with Jonathas in Old Gridania.

Final Fantasy 14 players must have conquered The Arcadion’s fourth level on Savage difficulty to unlock Futures Rewritten (Ultimate). The Wandering Minstrel in Tuliyollal is the key to initiating this adventure. Despite the challenge it presents—featuring formidable foes like Fatebreaker, Shiva, and the Oracle of Darkness—players were still grappling with this Ultimate raid at the time of writing. The impressive rewards include a coveted new title and the Oracle Totem, which can be traded for an Edenmorn weapon of choice with a Viera NPC named Uah’shepya stationed at Solution Nine.

Moreover, beyond just the raid updates, Patch 7.11 notably featured modifications in the PVP sphere. Monks received adjustments to expand their close-combat repertoire, while samurai strategies were refined to balance potency and duration. Machinists, too, saw improvements to their offensive playstyle, with increased strikes from Wildfire and adjustments to several offensive strategies.

The overarching aim of these changes is to ensure each job remains competitive and enjoyable within the current season of play.

Miscellaneous Updates

The patch also introduced new items, soundtracks, and achievements, alongside resolving several in-game issues for a smoother playing experience. Noteworthy fixes included the proper display of area names and accurate descriptions for PvP actions, enhancing the overall game functionality.

Amidst these innovations and adjustments, only one known issue remains regarding the black mage PvP action’s visuals, proving insignificant in practice.

Finally, new ultimate weapons have been added to the mix, raising the item level to 735, and expanding players’ inventory with new orchestrion rolls and other engaging content that continues to enrich the Final Fantasy 14 universe.
