Monopoly Go’s got this new ad thing going on – it’s like… back in the sitcom days. Remember those family squabbles over Monopoly? Yeah, it’s called The Dice Life. And wow, what a lineup.
Will Ferrell, yep, the Will Ferrell, he’s back and lending his voice to Mr. Monopoly. These vignettes? They’re all over the place with those old 90s TV vibes.
Oh, and there’s this bit, you know how sometimes something just won’t show unless you mess with cookie settings? Super annoying, right?
Anyway, The Drum talks about The Dice Life coming from Omelet (how do they come up with these names?), the creative agency, not the breakfast food. They joined forces with Scopely, the brains behind Monopoly Go. It’s pretty much a love song to those classic TV sitcoms, complete with a theme tune that screams 90s.
You’ll spot Jake Johnson (yep, from New Girl) and Sunita Mani (Glow) too. Short and sweet, the ad totally captures that Monopoly drama you know too well if you’ve ever played with your family. Those arguments? Unforgettable.
Monopoly Go’s summer? Bumper-packed. They’ve teamed up with Marvel – yes, Fantastic Four is on board just in time for their new movie, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, hitting on July 13. Imagining Fantastic Four running around Monopoly land? Wild.
With it comes mini-games, events, collectibles – and another Partners Event. Who can keep up? We’re all ears for the next Monopoly Go Treasures Event ’cause the last one wrapped in June.
