Oh wow, here we go! Ready to get sucked into another first-person shooter? The whole Delta Force Technical Test thing is up and running, like, NOW. Seriously, if Xbox is your thing, just dive in. Who knows what’s waiting out there in this crazy Xbox Insider Playtest on Xbox Series X|S?
### About the Game:
Okay, so Delta Force. Remember that name because, apparently, it’s this free-to-play, blow-your-mind, team-based thing. It’s hitting consoles on August 19. Like, there’s this big whoosh of nostalgia, right? It’s been around for 25 years and now it’s back with some wild game modes. We’re talking huge PvP stuff (32 vs. 32? That’s a lot of chaos!), next-gen extraction shooter – whatever that actually means – and oh, can’t forget the classic Black Hawk Down vibe. Intense, much?
### 3 Experiences in One:
Imagine smashing 32 Vs. 32 players together in this Warfare mode. Yeah, it’s like a party but with guns. Then there’s something they call “next-gen extraction” (because who doesn’t love fancy words?). Oh, and that Black Hawk Down campaign? It’s like a movie you play.
### 1 Account, 3 Battlefronts:
So here’s a cool thing – your progression? It just follows you. Console, PC, mobile – doesn’t matter. And, guess what? Cross-play is a thing. Console lovers and PC maniacs can finally get along. Maybe.
### Free-to-Play:
No cash outlay, nope. Three modes, over ten operators, and maps galore. Rewards, too. And did I mention, it’s free? Grab it while it’s hot or not, whatever.
### Playtest Times:
Alright. Mark those dates. Clock’s ticking! Everything kicks off Wednesday, July 16th, 6 PM PT (that’s 9 PM ET and basically tomorrow everywhere else). Taps out on Saturday, July 20, same time.
### How To Jump In
So there’s a bit of a process. Get on your Xbox, do the whole Xbox Insider Hub app thing. If it’s not there, well, download it. Head over to Previews > Delta Force BETA. Click join, do what it says, and cross your fingers. Spaces are tight, so hustle!
This is North America’s gig right now – Canada, Mexico, U.S. only. Sucks if you’re elsewhere, I know.
### Feedback Time
Any glitches? Bugs that make no sense? Use “Report a problem” on your Xbox. Just hold that home button, select your problem, and let ‘em know. They even have a Discord for chatting it up. If you prefer yelling into the void via email, sure, that’s there too: [email protected].
Want more? Follow them on whatever-they’re-calling-Twitter now, @XboxInsider. There’s a blog too, and some subreddit where you can probably fight with other fans over nothing.
And there you have it—the whole shebang. Jump in if you’re game. If not, well, there’s always next time, right?
