Oh wow, so I stumbled upon this thing today β “Into the Radius 2,” yeah? It’s that follow-up to some shooter game that people seem to be into. Anyway, itβs been a thing on PC VR headsets since, uh, last July, I think. Now they’ve decided, “Hey, let’s bring it to Quest,” which is happening… like, this month. Wild, right?
Okay, so theyβre saying Quest 3 and the 3S (I didnβt even know that was a thing β go figure) get early access on May 21st. But, like, chill, ’cause the full thing drops next year. Just like the OG game from 2020, youβre poking around some post-apocalyptic zone. Youβve got those freaky βPechorskβ anomalies to deal with. Yikes, right?
This time though, real guns, tactical gear β itβs all still there. Oh, oh, but hereβs the kicker: you can team up with a buddy! I mean, two people co-op is cool and all, but get this, eventually you can squad up with four people. LMK if thatβs not gnarly.
Oh, almost forgot β no crossplay with PC VR and Quest 3. So, youβre kinda locked into wherever you start. The numbers I saw were nuts β $3 million on PC VR already? Like, half of that just in the first week!? Crazy talk, I know. But hey, those stakes are way up there for the Quest launch.
Man, the Horizon Store doesnβt even have it listed yet, so good luck finding it. Meanwhile, if youβre the kind who plans ahead, maybe poke around the gameβs explainer for guns and stuff. Or, you know, just dive in blind. Thatβs sounds like more fun anyway.
