Alright, here goes nothing.

So, here’s the deal with Marvel Rivals. I mean, players are kinda ticked off about this new matchmaking thing. NetEase is messing with the game, and it’s launching in Season 3.5. And yeah, it’s supposed to bring some cool stuff, like fresh features or whatever, but honestly, people aren’t that thrilled.
Now, picture this—you’ve got this epic shooter game and then boom, changes hit. Matchmaking limitations. Why did they even do this? Who knows. I guess they wanted to “keep it engaging.” But you know what? It’s just getting annoying.
Season 3 popped up on July 11. Can you believe it’s centered on Knull? Like, the god of symbiotes. Talk about a big bad guy. And then they added Jean Grey, or Phoenix, to the mix. Fancy, right? Plus, there’s this new map, Klyntar: Celestial Husk—what a name. Team-Ups got another shake-up too. Phoenix and Wolverine team up now. And Human Torch? He’s got something going with Spider-Man and The Thing. But that’s not what got folks talking.
On the subreddit, smaughh—I mean, who names themselves that?—called the new matchmaking thing “odd.” And honestly, the community’s sorta bummed. They love hanging with buds, playing in squads, and now, bam, that’s getting tougher. Some folks think this change might invite more smurf accounts. Weird, right?
Oh, and get this. The whole ranked matchmaking? Loads of backlash. Platinum players and up can’t play in five-person squads anymore. Yeah, really. You get to Platinum, Diamond, Grandmaster, and boom, you’re down to three people per team. The top tiers, Celestial, Eternity, One Above All? Only two players. Rough.
And let’s not forget—Season 3.5 drops August 8. It’s bringing, wait for it, Blade. Yep, Blade’s joining the gang. More Team-Ups adjustments, some new skins, and there’s a free one for The Thing. Symbiote makeover or something.
Anyway, that’s the scoop. I’m just here, trying to wrap my head around it. Who comes up with these decisions? No clue. Maybe it’ll blow over. Or not. Who can tell these days?
