Oh wow, so I stumbled upon this thing today — “Into the Radius 2,” yeah? It’s that follow-up to some shooter game that people seem to be into. Anyway, it’s been a thing on PC VR headsets since, uh, last July, I think. Now they’ve decided, “Hey, let’s bring it to Quest,” which is happening… like, this month. Wild, right?
Okay, so they’re saying Quest 3 and the 3S (I didn’t even know that was a thing — go figure) get early access on May 21st. But, like, chill, ’cause the full thing drops next year. Just like the OG game from 2020, you’re poking around some post-apocalyptic zone. You’ve got those freaky ‘Pechorsk’ anomalies to deal with. Yikes, right?
This time though, real guns, tactical gear — it’s all still there. Oh, oh, but here’s the kicker: you can team up with a buddy! I mean, two people co-op is cool and all, but get this, eventually you can squad up with four people. LMK if that’s not gnarly.
Oh, almost forgot – no crossplay with PC VR and Quest 3. So, you’re kinda locked into wherever you start. The numbers I saw were nuts — $3 million on PC VR already? Like, half of that just in the first week!? Crazy talk, I know. But hey, those stakes are way up there for the Quest launch.
Man, the Horizon Store doesn’t even have it listed yet, so good luck finding it. Meanwhile, if you’re the kind who plans ahead, maybe poke around the game’s explainer for guns and stuff. Or, you know, just dive in blind. That’s sounds like more fun anyway.
