Alright, here we go. So, ever hear about that wild west game full of cowboys and dramatic sunsets? Yeah, the one where everyone’s trying not to get too gloomy as they gallop through miles of endless terrain. Apparently, and take this with a pinch of salt (or a whole shaker, your call), it might be moseying on over to the Nintendo Switch 2. Why, you ask? Well, some folks over at Gamereactor dropped a hint. They’re saying—via sources, mind you—that our beloved bandits might ride onto Nintendo’s latest gadget, possibly by year’s end.
Now, I’m no detective, but it seems like the Spanish outlet Nintendúo chipped in too, backing up the whole tale from their own grapevine. Kind of like a high-stakes game of telephone but with more pixels and fewer whispers.
Oh, and there’s more. Like, for those who are glued to their PS5s or Xbox Series X/S, there’s chatter about a shiny update for RDR2. Imagine, better graphics and smoother vibes for your outlaw escapades. Ironically, around when it’s set to hit the Switch 2. Timing or coincidence? You decide.
Meanwhile, over at Take-Two (you know, they publish big names like Borderlands 4 and Civilization 7 and all), they’re already tossing games onto the Switch 2 like confetti. Four, to be exact, and possibly tossing Rockstar’s hat into the ring makes it five. Their head honcho, Strauss Zelnick, had a chat with The Game Business and was pretty optimistic about it all—even if he played it cool with a ‘we’ll see how it goes’ kinda vibe. But he’s on Team Nintendo, thinking they’re upping their game beyond their usual first-party bread and butter.
Now, if our rootin’ tootin’ adventure does indeed trot over to Switch 2, expect some test runs, possibly of Ninty’s GameChat. Imagine banter about horse anatomy in the Arctic, for science of course, while riding shotgun in a digital stagecoach. Basically a Minecraft screening but sprinkled with the Wild West mayhem.
So, what’ll it be? If the lawless lands beckon you on the Switch 2, would you ride the digital range? Let me know your thoughts, and sorry if my rhyming got a tad out of hand there. Just a weird mood, I suppose.
