Hey, have you heard about this game, inZOI? So, they’re dropping their first DLC called Island Getaway, and it’s coming free for everyone who owns the game. Nice, right? Krafton, the developer, kinda let the cat out of the bag, spoiling some surprise today.
Anyway — or was it yesterday? — they’re also finally launching for Mac. Big news for Mac people living under their tech rocks.
So, this Island Getaway thing officially launches on August 20. But there’s a bit of a drama, you know, gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19 was supposed to be the big reveal. Felt like they’d just pop it out of nowhere, but nope, Krafton spoiled part of it in advance.
What’s in this DLC? Ah, a whole new map called Cahaya, which is totally inspired by Southeast Asia. It’s got two islands and new things to do, like swimming or snorkeling. Get those virtual swimsuits ready!
But listen, farming is getting an upgrade too. You can dress up your character in all these tropical outfits, with matching hairstyles. Fun fact: Decorating is a thing here.
Here’s a pic to give you that summer vibe in inZOI. It’s like summer year-round in virtual life, I guess.
Now, besides the new map and outfits, there’s more. They’ve updated the game with stuff like farming and fishing everywhere, not just in Cahaya. Oh, and electric scooters. Imagine scooting around, the wind in your virtual hair.
The update also messes around with character interactions. Random gatherings, thought bubbles—sounds a bit chaotic in a fun way, right? And then something called “cooperative actions.” I’m not completely sure what that means, but it sounds like spontaneous fun.
Quality of life updates? Yes, please! UI tweaks, a bunch of new tunes (90 tracks, if you’re counting), and ta-da: early gamepad support! Still testing, though.
And let’s not forget, August 20 is not just about the DLC. It’s also when inZOI finally hits Mac, both on Steam and the App Store. More platforms, more chaos. Can’t wait.
