Alright, so here’s the thing about “Grow a Garden” — this game, if you haven’t noticed, is basically everywhere now. I mean, it just launched in March, right? And suddenly everyone and their grandma’s talking about it. It’s like one of those runaway trains you can’t stop. You’ve got these updates and cooking events popping up left and right. People just can’t get enough of it. Oddly fascinating, isn’t it?
And now, here’s where it gets even weirder — unofficial merch is cropping up like mushrooms in the forest. I stumbled on this seller, VatanFari, on Amazon. I know, right? They’re doing these plushies of game pets. What’s wild is they say the plushies are “inspired” by the game’s universe. Does that mean they’ve got legal approval or they’re just rolling the dice? Who knows.
So let’s talk plushies, yeah? There’s not a ton out yet. You’ve got your classic Chicken and Raccoon — seems standard. But then there’s this Disco Bee, which sounds like something from a dream. Oh, and that Chicken Zombie they had in a giveaway? Yeah, that’s there too. Limited but curious selection, if you ask me.
Size-wise, they’re these 10-inch plushies, mostly. $18 is the going rate, which is around the cost of lunch, give or take. But the Chicken Zombie? It’s got this little jockey on it, which bumps it up to 12 inches and the price to $30. I mean, it’s like it decided it was special or something.
Now, is any of this official? As far as I can figure, nope. Nothing “official” has sprouted up yet. It’s all these third-party folks moving in on the action like bees to honey. Etsy’s probably churning out their share too, come to think of it.
About VatanFari, though — buying from third-party dudes can be sketchy. But apparently, they’ve got some okay reviews? I mean, who’s to say until you’ve got a plushie in hand. Good news is, Amazon’s got that 30-day refund thing, so you’re not exactly throwing caution to the wind.
I guess it’s one of those moments where you’re like, “Am I really spending money on this?” But then again, how can you resist a Zombie Chicken?
