Got the info, now it’s time for some messy vibes, am I right? Here we go.
So, Nintendo’s doing this thing. No one saw it coming, or maybe they did—hard to keep track of who knows what these days. Anyway (wait, no), they’re dropping free updates for the Switch 1 games, and now the new deets are out in the wild. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Some webpage I’d rather forget—and believe me, I tried—just popped up with a release date. Mark your calendar (if you still do that kinda thing) for June 5, because that’s D-Day—the launch of Switch 2. Yep, the big kahuna’s almost here.
So, updates. Some game upgrades you might care about:
Framerate boosts for ARMS, Pokémon Scarlet/Violet, and that fantastic mix in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury. Why framerate, though? Maybe smoother is better, or maybe we’re just complicating simple joys.
Visual enhancements—whatever that means these days—hitting a list too long to memorize: ARMS (again), Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (I always giggle at the name), Game Builder Garage, and a couple more I can’t be bothered to list. Oh, and Zelda fans, both Link’s Awakening and something called Echoes of Wisdom are in for a treat. Bravo!
Hold your breath for HDR stuff—sounds intense, right? ARMS (can’t believe I’m saying this again), Super Mario Odyssey, and those Zelda entries are likely to dazzle your eyeballs. If it matters… I guess?
GameShare support’s a thing too. Gonna admit, I have no clue what that means; maybe I should Google it or something. Big Brain Academy gets it—not that my brain feels particularly big or academic today—and Captain Toad strikes again. Yes, Captain, we see you waving those tiny little virtual arms.
Oh, and Mouse with Joy-Con 2? Game Builder Garage is doing it. Not sure if it means much. Maybe you’ll make magic with it. Maybe not.
And there you have it. Clear as a murky pond. Or chocolate pudding. But hey, it’s news, right? Kinda.
