Since Disney Dreamlight Valley popped up in early access—gotta say, it’s been quite the trip. It’s all about the films, right? Big shots from Walt Disney Animation and Pixar Studios just running the scene. Classic stuff. But get this—Disney’s sitting on a mountain of other cash cows, and they’re sneaking them in slowly. You know, through furniture, clothes… the usual jazz. Characters? Not so much, unless you’re in the super cool club of these two studios. Sneaky, huh?
Now, here’s the kicker. They’ve found this loophole. Or maybe it’s all part of the plan. They’ve got Companions, these sidekicks that hang around but aren’t on the main roster. R2-D2 snuck in this way! But he’s not flying solo. We’ve also got Pegasus, Pua, and even Minnie’s cat Figaro kicking it in there.
Anyway—oh, wait—back to R2-D2. This little guy can’t just be thrown in there and left behind, right? He showed up with this big Star Wars bonanza. We’re talking Naboo-ish houses, Padme’s wardrobe options, Jedi stuff, lightsabers—the whole deal. It’s fun, sure, but also, it’s Disney milking those Star Wars dollars. Clever, right? But something’s missing; where’s C3PO? R2-D2 looks lonely without him. Maybe they’re holding out on us, saving that for a big splash later, who knows?
Adding C3PO might be a tad tricky, though. He’s got legs! Like, two of them, and Companions don’t usually roll that way. Almost all of them trot around on four legs or wings or wheels. They’d need to flip the script to get him in there as a Companion. Or heck, maybe he’ll debut as a full-fledged character? That’d be wild.
You know, it might be better if he just tags along like the other Companions. Keep the focus on the main studio players, right? Had a thought—what if he’s just a cool piece of decor or an NPC, kinda like a meet-and-greet station? Whatever happens, R2-D2 and C3PO really, really should reunite. I mean, they belong together, don’t they?
