Man, the week’s been weird… Like, not even sure how to put it — not too busy but also like, a total overload? Yeah, that sounds about right for early August. Got me thinking about Gradius Origins, which you might remember from the March Switch 1 Direct. Those lasers? Gotta have ’em. Needed to take down the final boss of NES Pro Wrestling. And wow, if you’re into stuff like that, there’s also a House of the Dead 2 remake. Disclaimer: Forever Entertainment. Not saying more. Then again, if you’re like, "No thanks," why not dive into some anime madness with the latest Demon Slayer or Fate/Hollow Ataraxia? They’re pretty wild.
Oh, and how bizarre is it that The Edge of Allegoria resembles a souped-up Pokemon RBY? Crazy, right? Yet not even the wildest copyright daredevil of the week. Speaking of, ever heard of Team17’s Ritual of Raven?
Stuff we totally lost track of last week: Partner Showcase, anyone? Just chilling by the fire — what’s with that, Square Enix? And oh, I noticed a couple of Harvest Moon throwbacks from the 3DS era shuffling their way onto the Switch. Taito’s "Field Day" popped up in the Archives, too.
Now, this whole “Is the EggConsole game playable without knowing Japanese?” dilemma. Seems like you can wing it — being in another version of Xak and all. But it’s an action RPG, so it might get a bit chatty. Prepare for that, maybe?
